Saracura Filmes

Saracura filmes is an independent documentary and fiction film production company creating work for Cinema, TV and Web. Since 2007 it has produced shorts, features and television films that have participated in important national and international film festivals. Saracura is committed to artistic and technical quality of its works and values ​​innovative forms of language that are capable of attracting and surprising audiences in the most diverse places.


Clarissa Knoll

Clarissa Knoll is a film director, producer and writer. Since 2001 she developed motion film projects and produced several art-house films by independent Brazilian filmmakers. In 2007 she founded Saracura Filmes and produced short films, feature films and documentaries that joined festivals such as Rotterdam, Venice, Bogotá, Brasília and Tiradentes. She wrote and directed the short Street Vendor Cinema, the film has circulated through dozens of festivals and was selected for New Directors/New Films Festival, organized by the Film Society of Lincoln Center and The Museum of Modern Art, New York; the film won best short film at the 35th São Paulo IFF, Best Short at Ethnographic Film Festival of Rio de Janeiro and Best Debut Director prize at São Paulo Short IFF, among others. In 2014 she released the documentary Guataha on DocTV Latinoamerica IV program, a partnerships between CACI, MINC, TV Brasil and TV Cultura, the film was broadcasted by 20 public TV stations of 16 Latin American countries.
